ZG 18

ZG 18 is a two-component epoxy primer with a high zinc dust content designed for long-term protection of steel structures in the most severe corrosive environments. Thanks to cathodic protection, it limits the formation and spread of corrosion even in the event of localized damage to the coating film and creates a reliable foundation for multi-layer protective systems.

It is primarily intended for bridge structures, the power industry, industrial facilities, and other applications with high requirements for the service life of the protective system.

ZG 18 is designed as the first coat in multi-layer protective systems. When combined with the ZG 17 epoxy intermediate coat and the PE 73 polyurethane topcoat, it creates a system with exceptional corrosion resistance that meets the requirements for bridge structures according to TKP 19B – IC and ONS 23.
